Starting from Shimla, drive past Narkanda into the lush Baspa Valley to Sangla and Chitkul (11,320 ft)—the last inhabited village on the Indian side of the Indo-Tibet border. Continue to Kalpa, nestled amidst vast apple orchards directly facing the awe-inspiring 6,050m Kinner Kailash peak.
